5 Practical Tips for Mindfulness
1. IDENTIFY YOUR STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES.
There is predominant energy within ourselves that defines our essence. It can be either masculine – making you an achiever, ruled by logic and a structured person – or more feminine energy which is all about feelings, creativity, and flow. Focus and spend time feeding the weaker energy with little actions that will allow you to get closer to being a more balanced version of yourself.
2. NOTHING’S HAPPENING TO YOU, EVERYTHING’S HAPPENING FOR YOU.
Everything that happens in our life is an opportunity to discover a better version of ourself.
3. TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR CHOICES.
We can spend a lifetime blaming others, circumstances or even ‘bad luck’ for where we are right now. My message today is to stop blaming others and admit fully the choices you have made. But not to stay in a place of regret but rather in a place where you have learned that lesson and know how to do better next time.
4. LIFE IS ALREADY HAPPENING, FIND GRATITUDE AS YOU GO.
Enjoy your days, your money, your love, your friends and family. Put your efforts into finding gratitude in EVERY SITUATION GIVEN as there is ALWAYS something for you. Even if you have lost $5,000, instead of focusing on the past, understand that money is still there, still around and coming to you, waiting for you. You only need to embrace that. How? By being creative and recognizing what was happening inside you and what prevented money coming in the first place. Check your beliefs around money or your organizational skills – only you know what is really going on. The real work is to decide what you need to change and focus on it. The process of creating is in bringing awareness to our thoughts.
5. BEFRIEND YOUR MIND & BREATH.
Learn when to recognize your mind is going into destructive mode. Be its friend, watch it. Conscious breathing will help you be in the present moment and will quiet your mind in a friendly way. Your mind might try to wander off to a new thought and unforeseen future but this is the moment when you have the power and you’re in control, but make sure you do it in a kind, friendly way. Make your mind understand that you choose to stay here, to enjoy the capacity of the new breath, of being alive, of reinventing yourself and your thoughts.
